Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, coordinate, and manage volunteer program activities. Duties include participating in the on-call rotation as a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate to ensure crisis intervention and victim services are available 24/7. The Volunteer Coordinator will also accompany victims and their families to law enforcement offices and criminal justice appointments as needed. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, applicants must have the ability to travel throughout Hunt County to provide these services. For more information, see the position description here.

Sexual Assault victim Advocate – Medical Accompaniment and Crisis Hotline

Advocates provide direct client support, advocacy and referrals for survivors of sexual assault, their families and loved ones at the emergency room for their sexual assault exams or via the crisis hotline. This opportunity operates on an on-call basis, after the 40-hour state mandated training (at no cost to you) – work around your own schedule!

Family Care Advocate

Greet and sit with families who come into the Child Advocacy Center for services. Appropriately interact with families to provide comfort and support while maintaining client confidentiality. Attend children in our play room while parents are in sessions. Family Advocates provide supervision for clients in a fun, child friend setting. Advocates also provide support to our counseling program by monitoring our counseling waiting area and assisting therapists with clients. Primary goal of the Family Advocates to help make child clients feel welcome and comfortable while visiting our agency. This may include reading to the children, providing snacks and accompanying down the hall to the restrooms.

Front Desk Advocate

Aspiring or retiring Administrative Assistance: help us out in the office! Duties include answering phones, transferring calls, confirming/reminding of appointments, giving community information and referrals, greeting clients, filing and other general clerical duties. Can you offer just one day per week?

Social Work Internship

The Director of Community Outreach and Education supervises Social Work Interns. Call for details.​

Pet Therapy Partners

Pet Therapy Partners are certified with their animals through Pet Partners to provide emotional support to children in crisis situations.

April is full of Child Abuse Awareness month activities. From planting a pinwheel garden for victims to Blue Sunday at places of worship, there is a way for you to be involved.

Participate in Special Events and Fundraisers

As a non-profit with a vision to help abuse victims find healing, we are always planning our next fundraising or special event to accomplish that goal.
